Supercharge your SAP ECC migration with Echelon.
Half of S/4HANA conversions move the whole estate across untouched. Not because anyone wants the debt, but because nobody can prove which objects are safe to drop.

What Echelon runs
Echelon accelerates every stage of migration.
Discoverwhat exists
- Estate inventoryObjects, callers, dependencies, jobs, roles and what actually runs. Static analysis finds most of it on day one, and usage monitoring covers the two things no scan can see: dynamic calls, and RFCs entering from outside.
- Interface registerThe one nobody has. RFC destinations, partner profiles, OData services, iFlows, and the point-to-point routes that were never written down.
- Readiness positionSAP Readiness Check and Simplification Items against your chosen target release, with the mandatory findings separated from the advisory ones.
Planwhat deserves to come
- A disposition per objectRetire, adopt standard, remediate on-stack or rebuild side-by-side, each with usage evidence, a dependency map and a named owner.
- Simplification Items sequencedMandatory findings block the conversion weekend, so they get cleared first. ATC returns thousands of findings on a mature estate and most of them do not matter, so Echelon ranks them before anyone opens the list.
- Data and Business Partner approachDuplicate suppliers and customers found before the load, BP grouping and number ranges decided, archiving scoped so you are not paying to migrate what you should delete.
- Interface targetsRetire, preserve, replace or rebuild, route by route.
Buildthe change itself
- Custom codeRemediated on released APIs where it stays, rebuilt side-by-side where it should not, deleted where it is dead. All of it as transports in your package, ATC-clean against the target release.
- Business Partner and CVIGrouping, account groups, number ranges, sync error handling.
- DataDuplicates consolidated, archiving executed, and loads rebuilt on supported paths now that LSMW is retired and LTMC is display-only.
- RolesSU25 defaults delta, Fiori catalogs and business roles rebuilt against the new release.
Provethat it still behaves
- TestsA pack per changed object, with regression scope derived from real dependencies rather than guesswork.
- Dry runsDefects, retests, transport state, document IDs and accounting totals, per rehearsal.
- ReconciliationSource and target documents match, totals agree, and no replay creates a duplicate.
- The recordWhy each disposition was chosen and the evidence behind it, so the decision survives an audit, or a question in year three.
- More than80% fasterManual system analysis
- Reduce delivery time by50%For new features
- Reduce TCO by30%For S/4HANA migration
- Know what to leave behind.Echelon proves what is actually called across a full business cycle, so the estate that converts is smaller than the one you have.
- Decide with evidence.Every disposition carries usage data, a dependency map and a named owner, so it survives being questioned later.
- Clear the blockers first.Mandatory Simplification Items block the conversion weekend, so Echelon sequences them ahead of the advisory findings.
- Arrive with tests attached. Each remediation lands as a transport in your package, ATC-clean, with regression scope derived from real dependencies.

The evidence problem
You can't retire what you can't prove is dead, so you bring everything - tech debt included.
Proving nothing calls an object takes a full year of usage: year-end close, statutory reporting, annual inventory, the utility that runs once. SCMON keeps seven days by default.
So at kickoff there is no evidence, and everything comes across to be safe. A Z* scan will not close the gap: clones, implicit enhancements and overwritten methods sit in the SAP namespace, exactly where SAP changes things underneath you.
- 49%carry out little or no re-engineering
- 30%longer than planned, with 65% reporting serious quality gaps
- 49%exceeded their original budget (+17 pts vs 2023)
- #1ranked challenge: adapting and remediating custom code
Every object gets a decision
Decide which objects move before starting anything.
A typical ECC estate holds around 22,000 custom objects and 2.7 million lines, averaging fifteen years old. 40% of the custom code you own is never executed. Modernising that 40% is the most expensive way to keep it.
Echelon analyses usage, calls, and logs for each component in your existing SAP estate and assigns it a grouping.
Each disposition arrives with usage evidence behind it, a dependency map, a named owner and a test obligation, so it survives being questioned six months later.
- RetireNothing calls it across a full business cycle, and the evidence says so.
- Adopt standardSAP now covers what this object was written to do.
- Remediate on-stackIt earns its place, so it moves onto released APIs.
- Rebuild side-by-sideIt belongs off the core, not inside it.
Where we stop
Cutover stays with you. Permanently.
Echelon builds and tests in DEV and QAS. Every object arrives as a transport in your package and namespace, ATC-clean against your variant, with tests attached and a documented way to reverse it.
Cutover, production release and transport authority stay with you.
The first 90 days
Read-only connection to first remediation.
- 01Week 1Read-only connection. Baseline inventory. Usage monitoring switched on.
- 02Weeks 2 to 4The estate model: objects, interfaces, jobs, roles, dependencies, owners.
- 03Weeks 5 to 8ATC and Simplification Item analysis against your target release, findings ranked.
- 04Weeks 9 to 12First disposition set, and the first remediation built and tested in DEV.

The assessment starts with a read-only connection and ends with a disposition per object, each one backed by evidence.
